Danielle and Andy met on the app Bumble and quickly bonded over their mutual nerdiness. Andy took Danielle bowling on their first date so he could show off his fancy footwork; Danielle was just happy that she kept her ball in the right lane.
About one month after their first date, Andy asked Danielle to meet his daughter Iris. While the three of them are so excited to make it official, they have been a happy family since long before Andy proposed. Their family also includes four adorable fur babies: Esme and Iris (the kitties), and Riley and Izzy (the doggos). Miraculously, everyone gets along (well, Esme tolerates everyone) and Andy survives being the only male in a house with six females.
Knowing that Danielle is an avid Lord of the Rings fan, Andy spent months making life-sized cutouts of the Fellowship of the Ring. The characters were placed around the house in a scavenger hunt that led Danielle to Andy. Each character was accompanied by a quote from the movie and a note describing why that quote was meaningful to their relationship. Andy proposed with The One Ring which is inscribed in Elvish with the words: “One ring to show our love. One ring to bind us. One ring to seal our love, and forever to entwine us.”
