It all began for us back in 1996, at Holmes Elementary in Spokane Washington. One day we’re playing on the playground with our separate friends, Adran with his buddy Antoine, and Dani with her best friend Olivia. Adran looked across the playground and spotted me in the distance . A tall, tomboyish girl, with a funny nose and a bob cut. He was taken by me as I was so much different then anything he has seen before. He immediately asked Antoine to go ask Olivia if I would be his girlfriend. When she asked me I looked over and saw this cute, short boy in the distance and said “yes”. We never hung out or talked lol ( because in 6th grade just to know you were dating someone was enough lol ) But one day Adran made the sweetest gesture that I unfortunately didn’t find out about until later in life. Olivia asked him if he wanted to go skating with us later that night but he couldn’t go, instead him and Antoine diligently called the radio station until they got through just so he could dedicate Monica’s For You I Will. Again I didn’t find out about this until we were grown but just to think back on this gesture it was the sweetest thing ever! After a month or so he went back to California and that was that. We didn’t see eachother again until high school where we met again in the halls of Havermale. I was surprised to see him and he was to see me. We actually started talking lol and became good friends. We hung out quite a bit with the same group of friends, then one day we lost touch again. Then one fateful night in the summer of 2009, I’m out for the night with Olivia, dancing the night away and waiting to meet up with my dear friend Maya. She calls and tells me to come outside as she’s almost there. I go outside to wait, and all of a sudden I see him!! Adran, walking up the street with Maya!! He had been hanging out with her already!! I didn’t even know he was in town. I got so excited to see him I ran and jumped to give him the biggest hug! We embraced for a minute and caught up then moved on with our evening. hanging out and having a great time. This began the next chapter for DNA. We hung out often but this time was different. It didn’t take long before we were doing everything together. Hanging out at the house, he would play with the kids who all adored him immediately , summer get togethers at my sisters, lake days, barbecues, birthday parties you name it we did it together. There was definitely a strong attraction, a sort of pull to one another. We became inseparable, Spending every minute we could together and naturally we fell deeply in love and decided to be official on July 7th 2009. Fast forward 14 years later, 5 kids, a beautiful granddaughter, and a lifetime of memories, and conquering all of life’s lessons, we are making it official once more. One July 7th 2023 we will seal the deal and set in stone our commitment to one another. We have had some many beautiful memories up until this point and we are ecstatic at what the future holds for DNA in the future.
