Walk the campus of Notre Dame
ND’s Campus is located across the street for guests who have booked to stay at the Embassy Suites of Notre Dame. If you’ve never been to Notre Dame, please take the opportunity to visit this beautiful campus. Light a candle at the Grotto, explore the Basilica of the Sacred Heart, take a picture in front of Touchdown Jesus, grab lunch at Rohr’s or Legends on campus. “For those that know Notre Dame, no explanation is necessary. Villa Macri
Just steps away from the Hampton Inn in Granger! Perfect spot for dinner on Friday- Villa Macri has an expansive menu and uses classic recipes handed down from the owner’s mother, Lole. Macri’s gives guests unique food features, hand-crafted cocktails, a diverse wine selection, and the use of local ingredients and herbs from our own greenhouse.

Perfect spot for Saturday or Sunday brunch! Steps away from the Hampton Inn at Heritage Square and less than a 10 minute drive to St Pius X Catholic Church! At Uptown Kitchen, we take a great deal of pride in serving high quality, fresh natural foods. Nearly everything on our menu is made from scratch in our kitchen. We purchase from locally sourced vendors as much as possible.
The Exchange Whiskey Bar
The original Exchange Whiskey Bar draws its inspiration from its home inside the Citizens' Bank & Trust Building, built in 1913 and now listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Once a bank, the marble walls and wrought iron accents still make it easy to imagine where the tellers would be. 10 minutes from Embassy Suites of Notre Dame. 20 minutes from Hampton Inn of Heritage Square. Ugh a personal favorite!! Swanky little spot in South Bend for a whiskey cocktail. Grab a cocktail here before heading to our Welcome Event on Friday!😉

6 minute drive from the Hampton Inn at Heritage Square. 15 minutes from Embassy Suites at Notre Dame. Named after a tributary of the St. Joseph River in Michigan, Rocky River Tap and Table provides a farm-to-fork experience in a casual dining atmosphere. (One of Danielle’s favorite local spots- wine and charcuterie - need I say more?) Bin 23 menu leads with artisan-style pizzas and flatbreads, made in an Italian Marra Forni brick oven and paired perfectly with a boutique wine selection. Add to that creative small plates, charcuterie, pasta, and brunch and you have a true experience for every palate. Bin 23 highlights a revolving menu of delicious wines from traveling the globe. Our focus is to continue to offer the very best selection of familiar names as well as small, boutique wines by the taste, flight, glass, or bottle.
Tippecanoe Place Restaurant
Located 10 minutes from the Embassy Suites of Notre Dame. Located 20 minutes from the Hampton Inn of Heritage Square. Who doesn’t like dining in a historic mansion?!? This restaurant is South Bend’s best kept secret. Great food, atmosphere, and service - a spot that’s often overlooked by Notre Dame students, parents and alum. 🤫(it’s a secret- haha!) If you’re looking for a slightly more upscale dinner on Friday, here’s your spot. Built by Clem Studebaker from 1886 - 1889, the Tippecanoe Place mansion has a rich and colorful history. Today, the restaurant indulges clientele in grand cuisine and noble wine - all within an atmosphere of unparalleled ambiance at the heart of the South Bend business and catering scene.

Yesterday's Food Spirits
10 minutes from Hampton Inn of Heritage Square. 30 minutes from Wmbassy Suites of Notre Dame. Located in the 3rd oldest building in St Joe County, Yesterday’s is a hidden gem in the Granger area. With music of the ’30s and ’40s floating through the air and artifacts from days gone by adorning the walls, just walking through the door feels like you have taken a step through time. If you’re looking for a place with a little history and charm, look no further. Reservations recommended. For my chocolate lover’s, try the Fudge Reese’s cheesecake- it’s TO DIE for. The expresso martini ain’t to shabby with it either ☺️😉
Peruse Heritage Square
Located in the same complex as the Hampton Inn for guests staying there. Grab lunch at one of the several restaurants within walking distance, shop the boutiques, get your nails done at Salon Nouveau... all located right in Heritage Square!
