You don't need a better example of a middle child than the photo Jenna chose for her bio. Prepare for a weekend led by JSmit100 herself, where she will win at all costs... Footrace to the ocean? Tree climbing? Korf ball? Challenge accepted, with a beer in hand. It doesn't matter if you are a man, woman, grandmother or freshly born infant Jenna will compete with the fullest intensity. Her heart is as big as her beautiful outgoing nature and she loves with that same intensity to every puppy, human, mountain and beer she encounters. Don't expect any time on the microphone and if you do sneak a moment, be prepared to be told exactly how bad your speech was. With the most loving sincerity of course. Jenna is the life of the party, even if it's not a party, but this weekend you are in luck.

Patrick and Mike became friends before his future wife was born. To put that level of friendship into perspective we utilize fashion trends, most notably Nike Air Max and white tracksuits. They entered their prime at this stage and with that came a popular dance style from the 90s in Holland called Hardcore. You will know it when you see it. And expect to see it at the wedding dance. These boys have explored more of the world together than most married couples. Strange islands in Brazil, car chases in Turkey and Middle Eastern desert excursions are a few stories Patrick will tell. Chef is an explorer and will always find the best restaurants and 'speak easy' bars, but this will be his first time in Canada, and aside from Dani herself it's the only thing they haven't experienced together.

On the complete other side of the sibling spectrum planet we have baby Nikki Smith. Lil Nikki was brought into this world as a screaming, wily nightmare (seriously, ask Terry) and has metamorphosed into possibly the sweetest and cutest Smith of the bunch (still up for debate). If Nic can keep the tears under wraps at any point this weekend, expect to find yourself spilling your entire life story to her including all your fears and doubts and walking away feeling totally transformed with the belief you are capable of anything. She has a magic that you will feel after the weekend on Galiano. She too will be on the mic, keeping JSmit100 off the tables, TSmith's glass of Pinot topped up to the appropriate level and on the dance floor in a double slitted dress screaming "I LOVE SPANISH RAP".

And last but not least we have the elusive Job Templaars. Let's just say Job (pronounced Yop, you are welcome Canadians) is best described as 'here today, gone tomorrow'. You never really know where he is, maybe landing an airplane in Kuwait, Thailand or hiding in his apartment in Dubai. But know this, he will find you on Facebook and he will know everything about Beaverlodge. Job is the ultimate undercover internet troll but good luck ever finding any dirt on him (example: the head shot he sent us). He gets credit for being the original to coin Patrick as Patty and although the boys have been far apart, their long distance friendship has only confirmed that it is in fact possible to maintain a relationship while one lives in Holland and the other 7000kms away.

It was really a no-brainer that we needed Ruebs to marry us. The boys hit it off drinking beers at the Lattanzi wedding over Patrick's direct humour, Reuben's sarcastic wit and nerd talk about history. Dani and Reuben bonded in Nanaimo over their mutual alpha qualities and other humble things like music and giant trees. Reubs has been asked to MC, officiate and basically be the Morgan Freeman voiceover of all our friends' weddings. So as long as he keeps killing it, we will keep getting married. Known for his big laugh, incredible spirit and free style rap skills, he is always down for a hike, a game of dangle balls or drinking beers in the sun. Reuby can command a room (or a hilltop in our case) sans mic so please make sure you are on time and keep his beer nice and cold.
