If you've never been to Colorado Springs, you have to visit Garden of the Gods. Consistently ranked the #1 city park in the country (yes, it's a city park), Garden of the Gods is iconic. If you don't want to get out of the car, you can see a lot of the park just by driving the loop, or you can make pit-stops along the way and walk short distances to see the rock formations. This is a low-threat walking environment suitable for non-experienced hikers. Classic. Stunning. Definitely don’t miss this!
An old elementary school converted into Colorado Spring's famous Bristol Brewing Co., The Principal's Office (coffee and cocktails), Axe and Oak Whiskey bar, and an overall community work/social space. The Bristol Brewery was a go-to date night for Jack and Danielle - Danielle’s recommends the Beehive and Jack loves the Compass IPA! Looking for a post-hike snack or baked goods? The Principal's Office never disappoints.
If you're looking for a moderate hike, you'll have plenty of options in Cheyenne Canyon. Mt. Cutler is a personal favorite and pretty short hike (moderate 1-mile), Other iconic trails include, Seven Bridges (moderate), and St. Mary's Falls. Remember to hydrate — hiking at altitude is no joke! You can find tons of great photo-ops and car pull offs along the twisty winding road up the canyon! Ask Danielle for more recommendations!
