Conner and Danielle met in seventh grade in Ft. Leavenworth, KS where both of their fathers were stationed at the time. Conner moved to Montana and Danielle to Texas, but kept in friendly contact over the years.
In 2017, Hurricane Harvey hit Texas prompting Conner to reach out and check on Danielle. We soon started dating long distance and by March 2018 Conner decided to move from MT to TX.
Conner proposed to Danielle on Loving Day which celebrates the Supreme Court’s 1967 decision to remove the ban on interracial marriages in the United States.
We made the tough decision to elope amidst the current circumstances we are all navigating. We had an intimate, sunset ceremony at the Tiny Chapel in Austin, TX. Our closest family members and friends helped us by paying for the ceremony, supplying champagne and cake, flowers and Danielle’s wedding dress. We are thankful for all that made our day so special and look forward to sharing the video footage with all of you.
