We’re getting married!

It was a late afternoon, and I had a soccer match at Thomasville High school. We were playing Central High school, our rilvarly team (Shane’s school) in Thomasville. I was walking to my car because I had to go get my usual pre-game powerade nerd slush from sonic and before I left I was turning on my pre-game music to get my head right. However, before I could leave I heard a knock on my window and it startled me. I looked to my left and it was a boy, he was motioning for me to open my window, so I did. I said, “can I help you?” (Pretty weirded out.) Shane said, “you’re really pretty! Can I have your number?” And I said, “yes, if you will leave me the heck alone…” Later that night he texted me and we talked on and off for the next 4 years. We went on a date in December of 2018, starting dating February 4, 2019, and then the rest was history!

Thanksgiving morning I woke up kinda sad because we usually have this really big thanksgiving lunch with all of my family, and it just didn’t work out this year. I was telling Shane how I just couldn’t wait to marry him and start a family and have our own traditions and probably vented about other things, haha. I went on about my day. I was about to start making a cake for thanksgiving lunch and to my knowlege Shane was going to workout. He presisited to find things around the house to do, piddling. He says, “you look beautiful.” I was like, “seriously, I have my hair up in bun and I’m in sweats. I look like a hot mess.” And he said, “no, you’re perfect.” I was already having an emotional morning, so I started to tear up and then he proceeds to bring the ring out and got down on one knee and says, “Daniella, will you do me the honor of marrying me, so that I can spend the rest of my days with you?” Greta our lab then proceeded to nearly take him out, she was so happy her dad was on the floor. It was perfect. It was us. And then I started to really ugly cry and laugh… (not a pretty site, haha) of course I said, “HELL YES!”
