The town is made of picturesque, windy narrow streets and a wide beached promenade by the sea. There is some great history to be seen here, such as the seaside Church of Sant Bartomeu, which was built in the 17th century in the gothic style. You can walk right up to it and feel the water hit from the waves crashing against it. 🌅
Daniella is a true beach bum and will make sure to fit in some beach days throughout the week following the wedding night! No saltwater taffy here but we'll be eating mussels by the water and popping bottles of local cava. 🥂
Sitges has many restaurants and offers a little bit of everything, with an emphasis on fresh local seafood. The owner of Almiral de la Font can offer his personal favorite restaurants and assist with making reservations. Make sure to try Fideuà, a Catalan seafood dish that is similar to paella, but made with short and thin pasta instead. Cava was also born in this region in the 1870s, inspired by a Spanish winemaker's visit to the Champagne region of France. There are countless vineyards you can visit within a 20 minute drive of Sitges
