Naumkeag Pumpkin Show runs through the month of October! It is a spooktacular evening of fall fun as you wander along the ~1 mile trail through their gardens and admire more than 1,500 hand-carved jack-o-lanterns, locally grown gourds, and seasonal decorations. The town of Stockbridge is also a lovely place stroll and is home to the Norman Rockwell Museum.
We might be a little biased — after all, we’re getting married in Lenox & we live here! Many of our guests (and Daniella herself) are or have been longtime employees of The Mount, just around the corner. Our engagement photos were taken here, too! The grounds are free to wander, the café is delightful, and if you’re into history or architecture, we highly recommend taking a house tour. Things to do: Stroll the beautiful grounds of The Mount (and stop by the café!) Get a sneak peak of the Ventfort Hall & take a tour Explore downtown Lenox — filled with charming shops and restaurants Take a scenic hike at Pleasant Valley Wildlife Sanctuary or Kennedy Park Enjoy fare: Brava – Tapas and good vibes Ombra – Brava’s sister spot (a fan favorite — get a glass of the Gulp Hablo!) Dulu – Great for one drink and a perfect photo-op The Heritage – Come for the curly fries Bagel & Brew – Jake swears by the Lumber Jack on an everything bagel Frankie’s – Don’t skip the bolognese
This is the town where Daniella went to high school — and where she now works! She and Jake love spending time here enjoying amazing food and drinks. Things to do: Take a stroll down Main Street and Railroad Street Grab a bite at some of our favorites: No Comply (Turkish eggs) GB Eats (potato cake benedict) Steam (khao soi gai) Juju’s (honestly, the whole menu) Bistro Box (box burger heaven) Enjoy a drink (or three) at Half Rats, Lucy’s (a fan favorite), The Well, or The Miller Pub Hike Monument Mountain — or don’t, we won’t judge!
A small and special town — it’s where Daniella and two of her bridesmaids, Sara and Rain, went to elementary and middle school together! Things to do: Bartlett’s Apple Orchard – Pick your own apples and don’t leave without trying their cider donuts and apple turnovers from the farm store Hilltop Orchard – Another apple-picking (and donut-eating) favorite, plus a cider and tap house for those who prefer a little something stronger Balderdash Cellars – A must-visit winery with indoor and outdoor seating, live music, and food trucks. (Tell them you know Rain…!) Hancock Shaker Village – Technically in Hancock, but basically next door. Home of the Shakers and a beautiful property to explore — meet some farm animals, stroll the grounds, and maybe even learn a thing or two
Daniella & Jake went to the Beacon Cinema in Pittsfield for their first date—be sure to check out a movie if you’re searching for your forever love. Pittsfield is where we are living right now, too. Things to do: Hike or drive up Pittsfield State Forest Take a walk at Canoe Meadows Wildlife Sanctuary Hot Plate Brewing (a fan favorite spot for Tuesday night trivia either lovely beer Sibarita’s - delicious Italian Roasted Garlic - great seasonal drinks Crust & Ayelda - pizza and froyo beside each other La Fogata - yucca fries…need we say more? Dottie’s - sweet breakfast spot
These two towns neighbor each other in the northernmost corner of the Berkshires and are a hub for art-related activities and great food! Things to do: Visit The Clark Art Institute: a traditional art museum displaying some paintings from artists even Jake (totally uncultured in art) has recognized! If traditional art museums are not your thing, check out Mass Moca for more contemporary art displays beyond paintings. Catch dinner at Casita, a Mexican-American fusion restaurant right next to Mass Moca and a new favorite of Jake and Daniella’s! (Their street corn gnocchi dish is to die for) Take a walk down Spring Street in Williamstown for a variety of shops and restaurants Blue mango is a great Thai restaurant, but the Purple Pub is a good option for comfort American food. The Williams Bookstore has a great selection of books, but you cannot beat the used book prices at Chapter Two Books Visit “Where’d You Get That Inc” - they have toys, games, or puzzles for all ages!
