I met Franklin in a biology class we had together. He sat right behind me and at first, I thought nothing about it. One late night after class, I walked out of the classroom with my friend Keila and I spilled the beans and told her that I thought the guy behind me (Franklin) was cute. She saw an opportunity to support me and the Christian club she was in and asked if I would like to attend a club meeting with her since he was also in the club. I said yes to the chance to befriend him. I started talking to him through our gaming console and I built the courage to ask him out. However, the first date did not go according to plan. To be honest, I did not think I was going to get that far and it definitely showed! I was so nervous that I couldn't eat and after I asked the basic questions, I didn't know what else to say. After that date, we did not converse anymore and left it at that. The following semester, I moved to an apartment complex since I was dorming, and believe it or not, Franklin was dorming downstairs (what are the chances of that!). Anyway, Franklin and I continued to attend the same club and I would drive him to the apartment complex (because I am so nice haha). One day while driving to the complex together, Franklin complimented my hair since I had it curled. I decided to take another bold move and ask him out one more time. He surprisingly said yes and we planned a boba date. The atmosphere was completely different on the second date. I felt more comfortable expressing myself and we hit it off after that day. :)
