Save Our date!

I’m marrying an engineer, so we figured I should be the one to write the sappy snippet. I’ll try to be as objective as possible. ;) We first met at Forestgate Presbyterian Church in 2014. We were very young and immature —constantly bantering and competing with one another in Youth Group. We could have “done without” the other person for the first while in our acquaintance (little did we know, our Youth Pastor shipped us early on). Eventually we started seeing each other more often—ice skating with friends, game nights, dances, and community college. In 2017, we graduated high school, Drew went off to CO School of Mines, and I decided to study abroad that fall. I became sick over the next several months and that summer Drew and some friends kept me company. We spent a lot of time watching movies and talking about pretty much everything under the sun. I adamantly denied any feelings for him (my entire bridal party can testify), but deep down his intelligence, kindness, and love for the Lord stole my heart. We’re both terrible flirts, but my mom, seeing the elephant in the room, pointed it out. Shortly thereafter we began officially dating in October 2018. We haven’t lived in the same city for any of the time we’ve been together. Despite the bumpy road, on December 3rd, he asked me to be his wife and I very promptly (although he will tell you it was an eternity) said yes. I cannot wait to spend the next 70+ years adventuring, dancing, and laughing with you Drew! Join us as we celebrate this covenant we are making!
