It was July of 2020, and Daniella had just gotten a new job working remotely. It was good-bye to New York City, and hello to the next foreseeable future in Miami. With that big life change, Daniella naturally switched her Hinge setting from NYC to Miami, and the rest was history. Mitch had just moved into a house in Coconut Grove, unknowingly just two minutes from where Daniella lived. He swiped first on Daniella for obvious reasons. She thought he looked like he was in a fraternity with multiple of his pictures prominently featuring Buffalo Bills' merch, but she was confident she could get passed his frat appearance. She messaged him back with "You had me at frozen peanut butter M&Ms" since he had listed them as his guilty pleasure. Let's be honest, who can resist frozen peanut butter M&Ms. It took three tries to actually meet up on their first date (she loves to remind him that the third time was his last strike). He showed up to the bar on a bike, and they hit it off immediately over oysters and beer. After she thoroughly interviewed him about his Covid precautions and current dating habits, they biked/ran (she biked, he ran) back to his place to drink homemade cocktails and play board games with Mitch's roommates, Ryan and Haunah. It was the perfect Covid date, and Mitch and Daniella have spoken to each other every single day since. Fast forward to today, Mitch is a dog dad, Daniella can name eight Buffalo Bills players. She's planning on adopting more dogs, he's focused on a Bills' Super Bowl.
