Visa Requirements

For U.S. Citizens (and most Western countries) • You must apply for a Vietnam e-Visa in advance (click the VIEW button to be taken to the official visa site) • Cost: ~$25 USD • Valid for single entry, up to 90 days • Approval time: 3–5 business days • You’ll need a passport valid for at least 6 months beyond arrival • Print your e-visa PDF and have it ready at immigration.

Travel Note

Currency & Payments

• Local currency is Vietnamese Dong (VND) (~25,000 VND = $1 USD) • Vietnam is a cash-friendly country. While some major hotels and restaurants accept credit card, cash is best. • Best options are: -To use ATMs in Vietnam to withdraw cash (the bank may charge international fee) -Bring USD cash and exchange at local banks or gold shops (Tip: Bill MUST be crisp, clean, and untorn. And rates are better for $100 bills than $20s or smaller.)

Travel Note

Phone & Internet

•Wi-Fi is available at most hotels, cafes, and the resort •You can get a local SIM card at the airport or use eSIMs (This will essentially change your phone and internet access to the local network. It is the most cost-effective option and will run you about $10-20 for the whole trip. Please note: this only works if your phone is unlocked/paid off and requested to be unlocked by your provider.) •Another option is ensuring you have an international plan with your current phone carrier. Most will charge you by the day for usage. USEFUL APP •Grab app (Vietnam’s Uber) is great for rides & food delivery (to avoid taxi scams, please use the app for transportation unless coordinated directly with the hotel/ tour group) •Google Translate
