Frida's museum is a must-see so we made it the group tour for Thursday! It’s in a little neighborhood south of the city center but only about a 20 minute ride from the hotel. The museum was actually Frida’s and Diego's home, and a few blocks away is a super cute plaza and market. All together, it’s a total Mexican experience!
Teotihuacan is an amazing place full of history. Its a few hours away, so can be a full day commitment. If you'd like to go, we can suggest a tour company and recommend you go Thursday or Saturday. It might be too much to do the day of the wedding.
El Zocalo is a massive plaza in the heart of Mexico City - and home to the city's main cathedral, the National Palace and the Templo Mayor. Its all worth exploring but sometimes its best viewed from above - so this restaurant has an amazing balcony for you to see it all (with a drink and taco in hand).
Located within walking distance from our hotel, this historical castle sits in the middle of Mexico City's largest park (think Central Park but Mexican!). It’s a good walk up to the top but the views are worth it. Plus, everyone that goes to Mexico City needs a selfie from there (for the gram of course)!
The go-to museum in Mexico City is just a-few-minutes walk from the hotel. You could spend a whole day visiting the museum, stolling through Chapultepec park and walking up to the castle too. But save some energy for the wedding festivities!
Turibus is a great way to see the sights of Mexico City....you can hop on and off to enjoy some of our other favorite spots along the way. We've done it before and loved it because sometimes you just gotta be a smiling tourist! Plus, there is a stop right by our hotel. Easy breezy!
Polanco, where our hotel is located, is a trendy but quaint neighborhood with many cute streets, cafes and little parks. Take a stroll and fall in love with Mexico City!
