Things To Do

We've been to Mexico City countless times - visiting this amazing city together for both of our first times back in 2008. We've learned a few things along the way, so here is a list of our favorite places we think you'll love in our favorite city in the world! There's so much to do (not to mention a wedding)!
Frida Kahlo Museum

Frida Kahlo Museum

247 Londres, Ciudad de México, CDMX 04100, Mexico
, +52 55 5554 5999

Frida's museum is a must-see so we made it the group tour for Thursday! It’s in a little neighborhood south of the city center but only about a 20 minute ride from the hotel. The museum was actually Frida’s and Diego's home, and a few blocks away is a super cute plaza and market. All together, it’s a total Mexican experience!

Pre-Hispanic City of Teotihuacan

Pre-Hispanic City of Teotihuacan

55800 San Juan Teotihuacán, San Juan Teotihuacan de Arista, Méx., Mexico
, +52 594 956 0276

Teotihuacan is an amazing place full of history. Its a few hours away, so can be a full day commitment. If you'd like to go, we can suggest a tour company and recommend you go Thursday or Saturday. It might be too much to do the day of the wedding.

Xochimilco Floating Gardens

Xochimilco Floating Gardens

Violeta s/n col. Barrio San Cristóbal, CDMX 16080, Mexico

Xochimilco is an amazingly fun, over-the-top Mexican experience - floating on a canal, drinking, listening to mariachis! We're going to do a group outing here on Saturday after the wedding.

Soumaya Museum

Soumaya Museum

Boulevard Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra, Ciudad de México, CDMX 11529, Mexico
, +52 55 1103 9800

Not too far from our hotel in Polanco, this is a great museum in a great part of town!

El Balcón del Zócalo

El Balcón del Zócalo

61 Avenida 5 de Mayo, Mexicali, CDMX 06000, Mexico
, +52 55 5130 5134

El Zocalo is a massive plaza in the heart of Mexico City - and home to the city's main cathedral, the National Palace and the Templo Mayor. Its all worth exploring but sometimes its best viewed from above - so this restaurant has an amazing balcony for you to see it all (with a drink and taco in hand).

Chapultepec Castle

Chapultepec Castle

Ciudad de México, CDMX 11100, Mexico
, +52 55 7601 9811

Located within walking distance from our hotel, this historical castle sits in the middle of Mexico City's largest park (think Central Park but Mexican!). It’s a good walk up to the top but the views are worth it. Plus, everyone that goes to Mexico City needs a selfie from there (for the gram of course)!

Museo Nacional de Antropología

Museo Nacional de Antropología

s/n Avenida Paseo de la Reforma, Ciudad de México, CDMX 11560, Mexico
, +52 55 5553 6266

The go-to museum in Mexico City is just a-few-minutes walk from the hotel. You could spend a whole day visiting the museum, stolling through Chapultepec park and walking up to the castle too. But save some energy for the wedding festivities!

Palacio de Hierro

Palacio de Hierro

Palacio de Hierro, Ciudad de México, CDMX 11550, Mexico

The Mexican mecca of shopping - with luxury brands from all over the world. Plus, it has an amazing food court and restaurant with the perfect view of Polanco. If you go, please take us with you!

Avenida Presidente Masaryk

Avenida Presidente Masaryk

Avenida Presidente Masaryk, Ciudad de México, CDMX, Mexico

Great shopping with a mix of luxury brands and cute Mexican boutiques - all super close to our hotel.

Parada Turibus

Parada Turibus

222 Avenida Paseo de la Reforma, Ciudad de México, CDMX 06600, Mexico
, +52 55 5141 1360

Turibus is a great way to see the sights of Mexico City....you can hop on and off to enjoy some of our other favorite spots along the way. We've done it before and loved it because sometimes you just gotta be a smiling tourist! Plus, there is a stop right by our hotel. Easy breezy!

Stroll through Polanco

Stroll through Polanco

Oscar Wilde #30, CDMX 11500

Polanco, where our hotel is located, is a trendy but quaint neighborhood with many cute streets, cafes and little parks. Take a stroll and fall in love with Mexico City!

For all the days along the way
