FAQ

Question

Can I RSVP online?

Answer

Yes, we are doing an online only RSVP! You can RSVP once you receive your invitation.

Question

What is the Wedding Ceremony Attire?

Answer

Dressy Cocktail/Formal attire. Midi and full length dresses, dressy jumpsuits, suits and jackets with slacks are all welcome. Please no jeans. Please no white or cream colored dresses. Keep in mind this is an outdoor event with uneven ground and grass when deciding on what to wear.

Question

What should I wear to the welcome cookout?

Answer

The welcome cookout is casual! Jeans, t-shirts, and sundresses are all acceptable. Feel free to wear a swimsuit under your clothes incase you wanna hop in the lake!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Due to limited space, as well as wanting to keep our wedding as intimate as possible, we are only inviting our closest loved ones. Your invitation will include how many seats are reserved for you.

Question

Are my children welcome?

Answer

We love your children, but we kindly request this be an adult-only wedding ceremony.

Question

How will I know which house i'm staying in?

Answer

After all RSVPs are collected we will email you and let you know which house you are staying in.

Question

If I am staying in a house on the lake, is there anything I should bring?

Answer

Yes! If you are staying on the landing at a family or friend's house, we suggest bringing a few grocery items to cover yourself for breakfast and lunches! All the houses have fully equipped kitchens. We will be providing drinks/dinner at the welcome cookout on Friday evening as well as Saturday evening at the wedding. Other than that, you will have to provide yourself with all other meals/drinks. If you want to go out for lunch - there are a few diners and restaurants about a 30 min drive over the mountain in the town of Fair Haven, Vermont and Castleton, Vermont. - The Birdseye Diner - Third Place Pizzeria - Blue Cat Bistro

Question

Is there a grocery store in Huletts Landing?

Answer

No. Once you cross over the mountain to Huletts Landing, there is no grocery store. There is only the Huletts Landing Marina which has a few basic items, snacks, beer etc. If you are staying on the landing with family and friends and think you might need something from the store, we suggest doing so before getting to the lake. The town of Glens Falls, New York has a lot of shopping options and is right on the way to Huletts Landing. If you do forget something, the closest grocery store is Shaw's in Fair Haven, Vermont which is about a 30 min drive from Huletts Landing. There is also a Wal-Mart in Ticonderoga, about 30 min drive from Huletts Landing.

Question

What about a gas station?

Answer

We recommend that you don't drive over the mountain with an empty tank of gas! Alex knows this from experience, paying for boat gas to get back over the mountain is both embarrassing and expensive.
