Our Story

It all began on a mission trip to Guatemala with our church, Westside Fellowship. What started as a week of serving the Lord became the beginning of the greatest blessing of our lives. We were there to share the love of Christ — to serve families, love on children, and be the hands and feet of Jesus. Neither of us expected that while we were pouring out, God would be quietly writing our own love story. From the very beginning, something felt different. In between long days of missions work, prayer circles, worship, and moments of witnessing God move in powerful ways, we found ourselves talking. Laughing. Serving side by side. Encouraging each other. There was a peace in it — the kind of peace that only comes when something is rooted in Him. It wasn’t just chemistry. It was clarity. We saw each other’s hearts in the way we served. We saw each other’s faith in the way we prayed. We saw each other’s character in the way we loved others. And somehow, in the middle of giving all the glory to God, He gently revealed something to us — that the person standing beside us might just be our person. A little over a week after returning home, we started dating. And from that moment on, we have truly been inseparable. Our relationship wasn’t built on chance or convenience. It was built on prayer, intentionality, and trust in the Lord. We invited Him into every conversation, every decision, every step forward. And as we trusted Him, He faithfully provided peace and confirmation time and time again. Six months later, Dustin asked me to marry him. When you know, you know — and when God makes something clear, there is such confidence in saying yes. In just under a year and a half from the moment we met, we will stand before our family, friends, and church and promise forever. Our story is proof that when you trust in the Lord with all your heart, He is faithful. He writes stories more beautiful than we could ever plan ourselves. He uses service, obedience, and community to reveal His plans. And He always, always provides. We are so grateful that our love story began not centered on ourselves — but centered on sharing His glory. And we cannot wait to continue serving Him together for the rest of our lives. 🤍
