Daniel and I met the day after my high school graduation at a mutual friend's graduation party. According to Daniel, the only reason he went to the party was because of a bribe. He was actually planning to ditch the event as soon as he could find a quick way out, but he saw me. He says it was love at first sight and he knew at that moment I was his future wife. We were officially dating a little over a month later. After ten years of getting established in our careers, growing closer to each other and to God, we are excited to start our forever together.

Orange Beach, Alabama Daniel planned the perfect surprise proposal, including all of my favorites - God, family, and the beach. My family and I were on our annual beach trip. To my knowledge, Daniel was back in Birmingham. After spending the day on the beach, my family and I were headed to dinner but planned to take some family portraits on the beach before the sun disappeared. Daniel was waiting on the beach in a suit in front of a hand-made cross, in the middle of a heart drawn into the sand with rose petals scattered around. From the ring, to the cross, to the precious man standing before me, it was a fairy tale proposal that only dreams are made of. Sorry to spoil the ending, but I said yes and we went to do my favorite thing - eat!
