HOW HE PROPOSED

September 2, 2024

During our trip to Italy, Joseph and I decided to visit the beautiful island of Capri. The day wasn’t very sunny, but it was still warm. As soon as we arrived, I was amazed – it was the most beautiful place I had seen during our trip! I had always wanted to take the famous boat tour to see the grottos of Capri, but we hadn’t planned anything in advance. Once we arrived, we were given a card by someone offering private boat tours, but we chose to explore the town first, hoping the weather would clear up. We headed to Anacapri and took the chairlift to the highest point of the island, where the views were absolutely breathtaking. Joseph then asked if I still wanted to do the boat tour, but since the weather was still cloudy, I felt discouraged and said I didn’t want to go anymore. Joseph, being as thoughtful as ever, insisted, saying that we were already there and he knew how much I had wanted to go. He contacted the boat owner and arranged the tour for later that day. We went back to Capri, and I changed into my swimsuit for the boat ride. We had a backpack with all our things, and I had no idea the engagement ring was inside! Joseph even handed me the backpack, but when I went to change, I didn’t notice a thing, and I never suspected what was about to happen. As soon as we boarded the boat, the sun came out, turning the day into something magical. During the tour, we passed by the iconic “Faraglioni” rock, which is known as the rock of love. There’s a legend that says couples who kiss while passing under the rock will have eternal love. The boat captain asked me to choose a romantic song for the moment and began taking pictures of me with the rock in the background. When I turned around, there was Joseph, down on one knee, proposing to me. It was the happiest day of my life! I was so emotional, and it couldn’t have been more perfect.
