Let's Celebrate!

We met during the end of Summer, 2014. You could say we both did not expect to meet one another at a small party with a few friends. Val's best friend, Alyce, convinced her to go to the party. Once we saw each other, something just clicked and we both met up a few days later to hang out. Shoutout to Alyce Espitia for being our "matchmaker"! Needless to say that day was the beginning of something special.

It was Val's 27th birthday and Daniel planned a time where both of their families can get together for a nice brunch by the Newport Bay water. Both families were brought together to enjoy each other's company and celebrate her birthday. Blessings surrounded the two families as they knew it was one of the last times they would all be together, as Daniel was preparing to go on deployment and be away from the family for awhile. He gave a speech after brunch, then turned towards Val and thanked her for always being by his side, being his best friend and someone to lean on. He got down on one knee, and said "I love you and I want you to be in my life forever... will you take my last name and marry me?". It was the perfect engagement moment that any man and woman could ever imagine. The start of a beautiful marathon together.
