Dan and Thy met in Brooklyn when Dan was a resident and Thy was a medical student. He thought she was spunky and she thought he was a sweetheart. On her last day, he invited her to his choir's concert at Carnegie Hall and was surprised that she actually came! They went on their first date on a rainy day at Cinnamon Girl, a local coffee shop, and the rest is history.

She took Dan to her favorite restaurant in New York, Pure Thai Cookhouse, where they ordered one appetizer and two bowls of noodle soups and then went to see Hamilton on Broadway (both of their first times). Dan was so moved that he cried listening to the last song. Thy's favorite date: All dates with Dan are her favorites. She loves when he cooks. She loves when he laughs. She loves when he hums watering his plants. She loves that he bought her a pair of L.L.Bean boots when she first moved to Boston and built her a living room table because she loves to watch movies.
