1 Year Anniversary Celebration! 5/30/2021

We can't wait to celebrate with you!

Hi friends & family, We want to share an exciting update with all of you. We have made the decision to get married on 5/30/2020 in an intimate ceremony with immediate family. We are excited about this unique opportunity to celebrate covenant in a completely different way than we had ever imagined before. With that said, we still plan to do everything as originally planned on 5/30/2021 at Quincy Hall in Minneapolis. This will include a full ceremony, vows and a reception. We also hope to make a weekend of it and have fun things scheduled for Saturday and possibly Friday as well if you'd like to join. More details to follow once we get closer to the date. It is really important for us to be able to celebrate and share this day with all of those we love. Our hope is this will allow for a time of uninhibited celebration and joy when we are (hopefully) all able to be together again. Although this situation felt difficult at the beginning, as we chose to surrender it to the Lord we found the upgrade. We are really excited to be able to celebrate on two different dates with two totally different experiences. Taylor even saved the first dress she purchased with her mom Stacey for the 5/30/2021 celebration. We can't wait to reproclaim covenant & celebrate with you all on on our 1 year anniversary, 5/30/2021. We truly can't think of a better way to celebrate! Thank you for sharing in our excitement and we hope you can all make it to our new date! Important notes: -The room block has been moved to 5/30/2021. If you have already booked your room with Delta Marriott, please reach out to them and they would be happy to reschedule. -If you have already submitted an RSVP and will be unable to attend on 5/30/2021, please let us know via email at dtberg24@gmail.com -We also know that many airlines are being incredibly flexible and we hope you can get a refund or credit for already purchased flights. With great love, Taylor & Daniel

A Minnesota Love Story

"I'm taking care of everything" - God

Very early on in our relationship Taylor heard God tell her that He was taking care of everything. We chose and still choose to live wholeheartedly in that promise. God is a promise keeper - we see reminders of it daily and it is so good to be loved by Him. From the details to the big things - He really has just been taking care of everything. We met in a more and more common way these past few years, a dating app! Right away we both knew something was different. For Daniel, the conversation flowed so much easier than before, which was perfect because Taylor was traveling. Pretty quickly it hit Taylor that she had already started to fall for a guy she hadn't met yet but she decided to continue to choose hope and excitement. When we finally met up 9 days later for our first date (a biking tour of NE Mpls) four fun filled hours later we both knew we had found our one. The next day hanging out with friends Taylor was recapping the first date and stated, "I would gladly choose him everyday for the rest of my life." She was so confident in the glimpses she had seen of Daniel's heart, the intentionality he chose to live life with and the man that he was. He was quite literally everything she had prayed for and qualities that only God knew she needed. In the passing weeks things continued to fall into place as we grew closer and got to know each other better and better. From all the trips back and forth (Daniel living in Wisconsin), phone calls, Daniel joining Grove Church, serving in Grove Kids together, Daniel finding his (perfect) house in Minneapolis, things just kept working out for our good.

Our Engagement

One January night after work Daniel sent Taylor a video and directed her to a card hidden away in her backpack as she left work for the evening. She was met at home by a close friend who would be her chauffeur for the evening guiding her back to the beginning on a scavenger hunt to Daniel. Replaying the stops along our first date, Taylor road along watching videos from each family member that Daniel had pulled together to be able to bring in those who couldn't be there as a part of the day. The hunt ended on the Stone Arch Bridge were Daniel got down on one knee and asked Taylor to be his wife. She said yes! We are so looking forward to having each and every one of you along for the beginning of our next season, the start of our marriage and this beautiful covenant we are invited into because of the one who created covenant with us first. We are so thankful for the friends and family who continued to pray and speak clarity over us in the time leading up to finding one another. Our relationship has been defined by clarity, healing, expectation of good and so much peace. We are so excited for everything Jesus has in store. See you in Minneapolis!
