They met during their college years at a mutual friend's house back in 2013 and bonded over music, blogging, video games, and just about anything. Their friendship lasted roughly six months until it blossomed into a relationship. Shortly after Valentine's Day, the couple began dating officially as of February 28th of 2014. Danny took Shannon on their first date to go see Arcade Fire, a music group that they both loved. Many dates later, they moved into their first apartment in the city of Burnsville with their two cats, Finn and Dexter. While on their 2019 spring break vacation, Danny proposed to Shannon on March 8th in Cozumel. She said "Yes!" and the rest is history! The two celebrated their union intimately with their parents and siblings in Chaska, Minnesota on August 15th, 2020. They made the difficult decision to postpone the reception to keep their loved ones as safe as possible during the COVID pandemic.
