So Do You Have A Date Yet?

Not Exactly

We have decided to get married one romantic Friday evening in October of 2020. However, we are in the process of deciding if Oct 2nd will be the exact date. (Current date is tentative). We must first consult our pastor for his availability and we're also in the process of seeking biblical premarital counseling. We will be posting the exact date shortly. Thank you for your patience.

How We Met

It Was Totally Unexpected

We met through a former colleague of mine. She approached me one day and said she wanted to introduce me to this "nice guy" she knows and that it didn't need to be a love connection, just friends.šŸ¤” After asking tons of questions about him I agreed to meet. So that things wouldn't be real awkward she planned a get together one Friday night at a Bowling Alley. However, Daniel was a "No Show" due to work. I was sick as a dog that week with the flu on antibiotics but decided to still keep my promise to attend. Needless to say, I went home upset with myself and him for not showing, haha. The next day he was given my number and he texted me apologizing. We texted all day for 2 days due to my voice needing rest, I had strained it from the night before. By the 3rd day he called me and we stayed on the phone from 4pm to 2am the next morning knowing I had to get up at 5:30am for work . But I didn't care, we did that for several more days, maybe weeks even. We finally decided to meet for the first time on February 14th, Valentine's Day. Needless to say, we became more than just friends. Well, the rest is history, hahaha!!!!šŸ˜‚šŸ˜ā¤ We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in Virginia! #virginiaisforloversā¤

The Proposal

6.22.19

He actually proposed twice that Saturday afternoon. I was upstairs when he suddenly came up and proceeded to get down on one knee. It wasn't planned, no romantic flowers etc. Just his heart. He asked me to marry him and placed the ring on my finger. No I didn't cry, it felt surreal, my emotions seemed contained. I said "Yes" and we proceeded with the day. Shortly after the proposal his boss called him into work and I became really upset and disappointed. He was supposed to have the day off. We had just gotten engaged and I wanted to spend the day with my new fiance. We had a small argument and he went for a walk to think, which felt like forever. When he came back I was in the kitchen. He immediately got down on one knee again, grabbed my hand and truly professed his love for me. He stated I'm number one in his life, the only one before me is God and he promised that work would never come between us and he would always be our protector (me & my cat Diamond). He poured his heart out and tears began to flow profusely!!🤣🤣. We hugged tight and kissed, I could not let go. And right than I knew, I really knew!!!!ā¤šŸ¤£šŸ¤£šŸ¤— And YES, I sought God about Daniel during the whole time. I still do and Daniel sought God about me before proposing. That's very important to us and is our key to having a lasting marriage!

He Is Our Rock

GOD

Daniel and I are not blinded by wedding planning and some fantasy of having a trouble free marriage! But, we do believe that no matter what comes our way God will see us through! We will strive to always seek God and put him first in our life, marriage and all that we do. It is God who we will always turn to for help and guidance above anyone else. And if we become hard of hearing from him we will seek spiritual counsel in order to push through and fight what the enemy is attempting to destroy. Will marriage be perfect? Absolutely not, but it will be full of Love, Peace, Forgiveness, Joy, Laughter and GOD!
