How We Met: Sarah and Daniel met on a cold winter day, in February of 2022. They were both attending the same pre-gala party hosted near the U of MN. Daniel's good friend brought him as a plus one, and Sarah attended with a friend of hers. Sarah and Daniel's plus one's were also close, which was fun. When Sarah first saw Daniel walk through the door of the pre-gala gathering, she immediately thought he was cute but also assumed he was in a relationship so she did not initiate the first contact between the two. Daniel had thought Sarah was beautiful, and was too nervous to talk to talk to Sarah at first. He was determined to do so before the end of the night. Eventually, he gathered up the courage to speak to Sarah and got her contact information as the party was wrapping up. They went on their first date three days later and the rest is history! The Proposal: Daniel had the proposal date planned months in advance. Sarah and Daniel had discussed marriage since almost the beginning of their relationship with both of them seeing a future with each other. Further, when they went ring shopping for the second time, that really seemed to seal the deal. Daniel met with Sarah's mother a few weeks before the proposal and asked for her permission, and included Sarah's late dad into the conversation which was special for everyone involved. On the day of the proposal, Daniel ensured the pair were dressed impeccably, as he had arranged for his cousin and his cousin’s wife to take photos during and after the proposal. When Sarah and Daniel got to the proposal destination (Como Conservatory), they walked around the outdoor park. Daniel was pointing out structures, and guiding Sarah away from certain paths to make sure she didn’t see the hidden photographers! They made it back to the top of the loop when Daniel swung Sarah around and was on one knee. It was magical! After that, they took pictures and then went to the best surprise ever- A dinner with both of their families, along with a few close friends! It was the most beautiful way to celebrate their incredible news!
