Our love story began in Boston at a scientific conference. Amidst the buzz of research and presentations, I caught Rosa's eye. She found my last name on my poster and added me on Facebook. I remember telling my roommate, "I think Rosa likes me." But he joked, "She's Italian, they always seem like they like you." Yet, later that evening, her Facebook request proved it might be more. Our first date? A charming coffee meet-up at Eataly in Boston. The conference ended, but our story didn't. We embarked a year of long-distance relationship, me in Vancouver and Rosa in the Bay Area, bridging our worlds with monthly visits. The distance only deepened our connection, and before we knew it, we were packing up for a shared life in the Bay Area. Four years of shared memories, travel, laughter, and love have brought us here, to the moment where we turn our once long-distance dream into a lifelong journey.
