Daniel and I met when we were 14 years old. He was the tall, cute, new kid and I had the biggest crush. We spent freshmen year being friends and hanging out here and there. Getting scolded by the librarians for being too loud 😅 We had the opportunity to hang out during the summer before he moved to Florida. His grandparents took us and Jessica to the movies where we watched 1408. On the way there, his grandpa talked about how the corn was supposed to be “knee high by the Fourth of July” and I never forgot that because it was the first time I had heard it. After that we didn’t really keep in touch a whole lot. Some MySpace messages here and there but that was really it. In 2016, we ran into each other again. It felt like barely any time had passed even though nearly 11 years had. We would hang out and talk for hours at a time. During this time, we shared our first kiss but ultimately it was not yet our time and Daniel left once again for Florida. We shared some texts and facebook messages but nothing other than light catching up for a few years. In March of 2019, I received a message on Facebook from Dan. He was back. We hung out shortly after and have been together practically ever since. We have had our struggles but we have overcome them and built a wonderful life together. We are so blessed to share two beautiful boys and he has been there for Clay and Kennedy throughout our years together. We are so grateful to be able to share our commitment God, to each other, and our family with all of you.
