Take a ride on the NYC Ferry
For $2.75, you can experience the skyline of Brooklyn and Manhatten from the water. They serve beer and snacks, too. The ferry serves piers along the East River from India Street pier in Greenpoint, down to Brooklyn Bridge park. You can also take it to Wall St.
Governors Island
For those interested in venturing further afield, Governor's Island is a fun option. It's an island in the New York Harbor. Travel there by ferry, rent bikes, take a nap in one of the hammocks, grab a snack and relax on a grassy knoll overlooking the Statue of Liberty. A hidden gem of NYC!
