Travel Note

Getting Around the Island

Parking, especially in the Historic area known as Old Town, can be difficult. Options include metered street parking, pay station parking, City owned pay lots and garages, and non-city owned pay lots and garages. The neighborhoods of Old Town do offer some free parking spaces, but be aware that many of the spots are marked “Residential Only” and you must have a "Residential" parking permit to utilize these spaces. A bicycle or scooter is a great way to get around town and Uber, Lyft and Taxi Cabs are readily available as well.
