Before becoming love, our story began as friendship — simple, sincere, and full of meaning. Daniel and Nicolly met at the church in Danbury, a place that, without them knowing it, was already preparing the ground for something much greater. Shortly after, they both went to boarding school at BMA together. Life, however, took different paths: Daniel remained at the school, while Nicolly decided to leave. Distance set in, and their meetings were limited to school breaks. Even so, the friendship remained strong, with no second intentions… at least at that time. Time passed, and one summer everything began to change. Conversations became more frequent, deeper, and longer than usual. Little by little, it became clear that what united them was no longer just friendship. Something new was being born — and with courage and sincerity, they decided to take the first step and begin dating. There were two years of long-distance dating, filled with longing, learning, and growth. Until Daniel finished high school and made an important decision: to begin college in Connecticut to be closer to Nicolly. This gesture marked yet another chapter of love, commitment, and daily choice. Like every real story, ours had its highs and lows. There were difficult moments, days when it seemed it wouldn’t work out. But even when everything felt uncertain, love prevailed. With patience, faith, and commitment, we learned to grow together and fight for one another. On November 9, 2025, Daniel made the proposal that would change everything. The date carries a special meaning: it is the title of a book Nicolly recommended to Daniel at the very beginning — a book he read simply to have more to talk about, more connection, more reasons to be close to her. Without knowing it, that book was already part of the foundation of this story. Today, we have been together for 4 years and 5 months, and on our wedding day we will celebrate 5 years and 1 month of a journey built on love, friendship, conscious choices, and the certainty that we were made to walk side by side.
