What is the dress code?
Answer
We’d love for our wedding to be as vibrant as our love story! The dress code is colorful and formal. We encourage you to have fun with your outfit, while keeping it classy and embracing vibrant colors! Let's also avoid white on any dresses. If you have formal Nigerian clothing, please wear it! Is there parking?
Answer
Yes, parking is available just a short walk away from the ceremony venue. Please plan for about a 10-minute walk. We’ve secured a discounted rate for our guests, but if you’re planning to enjoy a few drinks, we’d appreciate it if you took advantage of Chicago’s fabulous public transit system instead. Your safety is our priority!

What time should I arrive?
Answer
Please plan to arrive 15 minutes early! I’m half Nigerian, but we’re partying on US time, so we kindly ask you to be in your seat on time. We have a lot planned for the perfect party, and we don’t want you to miss a moment!

Are kids and babies invited?
Answer
We absolutely love, love, love kids! However, we’re planning to let loose and have a full-on celebration, so this will be an adults-only event. We cherish our relationships with your little ones, and we hope to celebrate with them on another occasion. If you need help finding a sitter please reach out to Daniel or Murjanatu. Thank you for understanding!

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?
Answer
The reception will be indoors. We’re hoping for an outdoor ceremony, so please dress accordingly! However, if the weather is even slightly inconvenient, we’ll move it indoors. After all, I want my hair to look good and not turn into a frizzy mess! Your comfort (and my hair) are our priorities.

Can I bring a plus one?
Answer
If you have a plus one, it will be indicated on your invitation. With our beautiful vintage space, we only have so much room, so we’ve had to make some tough decisions. In some cases, you might not see a plus one if your family and friend group is already invited. We’re doing our best to include as many of our loved ones as possible while ensuring everyone has at least one person to party with!
