Marissa was out to dinner with one of her bestfriend's Gabriela at Anassa in Astoria when their bestfriend Angelica's cousin Michael texted Gab asking if they wanted to come to his friend's moving out party in Manhattan then go out after for drinks. They agreed and took an uber to the apartment. Michael showed Marissa and Gab the patio of apartment overlooking the city and introduced them to one of his bestfriends Danny. Marissa sat next to Danny and asked him a million questions, what he did, where he lived...then the four of them left the apartment and went to a bar called Bowery Electric and all hung out together whole night. Danny got Marissa's phone number...

Almost 6 months later Marissa agreed to a date with Daniel. Note he pursued her and even got her to meet him and Michael again out in the city with Gab where he secured a yes in person to go out on a date together. That week on a Thursday Marissa and Daniel went on their first date. Daniel is from Westchester and Marissa is from Queens so he came all the way to Queens to pick Marissa up from her house and then drive her to dinner at one of her favorite spots Anassa in Astoria. He even insisted after the dinner was over to drive her back home because they wanted to spend even more time together. Valentines Day was even 4 days later and he sent her red roses but didn't sign his name just his phone number.

Marissa and Daniel went out to Manhattan to meet friends for drinks at Factory 380. Before going there they went to one of their new favorite spots Norma, a sicilian oven which was a small cozy spot that only had a few tables and only Italian wine. The lights were dim and the room was small but it felt like they were the only two people in the room. Daniel tried to play it cool and say we can go down that road of being girlfriend boyfriend. Marissa didn't waste any time and basically talked him into dating her cause she didn't want to wait she knew. Marissa and Danny laughed and said that place Norma makes you be in your feelings as they always had such deep conversations in there as the ambiance was romantic, intimate, and felt like home.

Marissa made reservations for a place Screaming Eagle for sunset in Aruba. Little did she know that Daniel made reservations for the same place 2 hours later as he had other plans. Marissa and Daniel got ready for dinner he asked if she had her room key she said yes. Then they went by elevators and he said oh shoot I forgot my wallet. Went back into room to get not his wallet but the ring and hide it from Marissa in his pants. They went down elevator and Daniel was saying the day before how they probably should call a cab since it will be busy to get during this time. We get down by cabs and he said I called one which Marissa thought nothing of. We get into the cab and Marissa and the cabdriver spoke about places they like in Aruba and the cabdriver which actually was the woman who created the whole engagement setup asked Marissa if she had been to Bushiri Beach. Marissa said no and the driver said it's right by the restaurant I will show you. Marissa thought they would do a quick drive by but instead the driver pulled into a little lot by beach and said you guys want to get out and see it. Marissa thought nothing of it as Arubians are super friendly and love showing the island. Marissa and Daniel got out of the cab and walked on beach. Marissa spotted a photographer and a whole setup filled with roses and she whispered to Danny "Omg look someone must be getting engaged". Daniel responded with "Mhmnmm". Then Daniel pulled her into the setup of roses and Marissa said "NO WAY..OMG" That's when Daniel got down on one knee and asked Marissa to marry him and she said yes!!!
