Question

Are you concerned about Covid?

Answer

Yes. We are doing everything in our power to make this wedding as safe as possible for all of our guests. We kindly request all guests that are eligible by CDC guidelines to be fully vaccinated. Though we will not be requiring proof of vaccination, we are counting on you only to attend if you meet this requirement. If you have any questions, please contact Dan or Marissa

Question

Is the venue Handicap accessible?

Answer

Regrettably, the reception will take place on the top level of the barn, where there is no elevator. The groomsmen are more than willing to escort those needing a hand up the stairs.

Question

Is there a shuttle to and from the hotel to the ceremony?

Answer

Yes, we do plan on providing a shuttle from Homewood Suites and the Hampton Inn. Check out our Travel & Accommodations page for all the info you need. The best western is also a two minute walk to the hotels where the shuttle will be provided.

Question

What's the dress code?

Answer

Semi-Formal. While the wedding is on a farm, we still want our guests to dress their best. The ceremony will be outdoors on grass, so please rethink wearing stilettos. The bridesmaids will be wearing various shades of blue.

Question

What is the weather like this time of year?

Answer

In typical Virginia fashion, the weather is unpredictable. We would encourage everyone to pack a jacket in case it gets chilly. The ceremony will be outdoors.

Question

Is this an outdoor wedding?

Answer

Yes, and no. Barring inclement weather, the ceremony will take place outdoors, and the reception will be indoors.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

The ceremony will be starting at 4:30 sharp. Please plan accordingly and arrive twenty minutes early to allow time for parking and the short walk over to the ceremony site.

Question

What is the parking situation?

Answer

Free parking will be available, but we suggest utilizing the free shuttle, or carpooling, as space is limited. Uber and Lyft are available in the area, but we suggest you check the apps ahead of time to see the estimated pick up times.

Question

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

No. We prefer guests to refrain from taking pictures of the ceremony until the officiant advises you to do so. We have hired a very talented photographer who we trust to capture every moment, and we will gladly share those photos after the wedding. Please enjoy living in the moment and let the photographer do all the work. When the ceremony is over, feel free to snap as many pictures you would like.

Question

Can you accommodate dietary restrictions?

Answer

Our reception will be catered by Hoffman Catering Company under the supervision of the Orthodox Union. If you require any other dietary accommodations, please let Dan or Marissa know in advance so that the caterer can plan accordingly.
