How did we meet?

2016

Madison’s Side Me and Daniel met back in 2016, I was in 5th grade and he was in 6th. You might be wondering, well how did you guys meet in differently grades? Well you see, we meet at the boys and girls club of Otero County in Alamogordo NM. From the moment I saw him, I knew what I felt toward him was different then just a school girl crush. That it had to be something more, but again he was older than Mel my thoughts went “he’s way outta my league anyways”. A few months passed after I had joined the Boys and Girls club and we finally said hi to each other and told each other our names. From there we carried on throughout the summer being the best of friends and hanging out around the parks and inside the club as well. Fast forward to the new school year, I had just started 6th grade and he had just started 7th grade. We both knew we liked each other, but being kids and especially as young as I was, I wasn’t wanting a relationship, my main focus was school. Mr. Daniel on the other hand was more worried about trying to date me no matter how many times I said no lol (talk about stubborn). All through your middle school hers Daniel was persistent on wanting to be in a relationship with me, my answer never changed and by this time he was more of a very good friend to me and I didn’t want to ruin that friendship. This poor man guys let me tell ya, I put him through so much, there were times I would stop talking to everyone and stay to myself and this poor guy was one of those. When we hit high school Daniel seemed to have moved onto other people and I was focusing on school still. In high school, Daniel had found out that his mom unfortunately had cancer. Which is obviously super upsetting. His mom stayed in super high spirits throughout the enter time. We spent high school not really talking to each other and staying in our own paths. My junior year of high school was probably one of the roughest years I had. In January 2020 (the peak of Covid) is when my dad unexpectedly passed away. This took one of the biggest tolls on me mentally, the day after he passed I had ran into Daniel after not talking to him in over a year, and all I can remember is just bawling my eyes out in the mad coffee parking lot on Cuba, in his arms. A few months after my dad had passed away, me my mom and my nephew Jaedyn all decided to move to East Texas, a small town called linden. I never told anyone besides my best friend that I was moving, I just left. After around 6 months of living there Daniel called me to see how I was doing, and that he was worried about me because he had not seen me in months. That’s when I told him I moved, from that point on me and Daniel talked everyday, called multiple times a day. Due to family issues me and my mom moved back to New Mexico in 2022, me and Daniel continued to talk everyday and eventually later that year (in November) I decided to finally give him a chance. And let me tell you all. That was on of the best decisions I have ever made. Daniel is one of the most heartfelt person and would do any and everything for me. He has helped me learn how to love myself again, how to be myself, he has showed me what love is, I am 100% certain that my dad and his mom had something to do with to why or paths crossed again. This man is the love of my life. I am so happy yo have meet him and now to be marrying him. Daniel’s side of our how we meet story
