Forest Park
Forest Park is one of our favorite places to go on walks with Louis. We highly recommend getting brunch or beers at The Boathouse. If you have time, the Zoo and Saint Louis Art Museum are both free and world class!
Ballpark Village
Located next to the home stadium of the Chicago Cubs' younger and weaker brother, Ballpark Village has been a beloved gathering spot for years. Besides being across the street from the Cardinals' stadium (who will be playing a home series against the Pirates and the Guardians over the weekend), BPV offers a wide variety of dining options. Whether you're craving brisket from Salt & Smoke or one of the many pizzas from Katie's Pizza & Pasta Osteria, there's something for everyone.
John D. McGurk's Irish Pub and Garden
The best pint of Guinness in town. This is where we will be heading after our reception!
Pappy's Smokehouse
There is a lot of debate on which restaurant has the best BBQ in Saint Louis. Pappy's was a staple in our college years since it is so close to campus, and is super close to the reception location and hotel.
City Foundry STL
City Foundry STL is a great spot for families. It has a variety of food options that both kids and adults will enjoy. You can try the fried chicken at Chicken Scratch, grab a popsicle at Poptimism, or enjoy some fusion tacos at Kalbi Taco Shack. For a sweet treat, Press Waffle Co. offers Belgian waffles with different toppings. It's a fun place to explore and enjoy some good food. There is also mini golf and a VR game!
Topgolf
Everyone always says, "Cheney how did you get to be such a great golfer?" My response is a classic. I always tell them that the TopGolf at 3201 Chouteau Avenue is essentially the IMG academy of the Midwest. If you think you have what it takes to compete with the best, try out this TopGolf.
Turn
We highly recommend the biscuit flight! No matter what you end up ordering, be sure to request a side of hot sauce (we promise it is not too spicy). The chef ships special peppers from California specifically for his homemade hot sauce.
