We started texting through a dating app. I (Liz) swiped right because Daniel’s pictures were so interesting, he had so many hairstyles and doing different things that I was intrigued and wanted to talk to him. Our first date was at a Mexican restaurant (Daniel picked the place) and he was an hour early, not because he was super excited but because he forgot his apartment key and couldn’t get in so he just decided to go to our meet up point. Daniel’s first impression of me was “man, she’s so short”, and mine was “he looks better in person”. Daniel started talking (a lot) in the first date, but I was so amazed on the way he was talking, I could see that he was so transparent and genuine. A month after that, in a gas station, Daniel asked me to start dating officially, we were dating for 8 months. Daniel proposed on June 18th 2023, and less than a month after, on July 15th 2023 we got officially married in the U.S. with a very small celebration. I always dreamt about our wedding in Mexico but due to my residence process we couldn’t start planning it right away, after I became an official U.S. resident we started planning our second wedding. We are convinced that this was the plan God had for us and we feel so happy and blessed that we are able to celebrate with all of you and give God all the glory for our marriage and all of His blessings.
