Daniel & Lexy met at a fine watering hole in Lexington, Kentucky while she was in town for a summer internship. They became fast friends and dated long distance through Lexy’s stays in Murray, Chicago, and Louisville.

Lexy moved to Lexington to start law school at the University of Kentucky. Since then, Daniel and Lexy have worked hard, supported each other, and created a home they love.

While celebrating 2020’s delayed Kentucky Derby at their home with close friends and family, Daniel and his brother, Alex, pulled out their guitars to play a few songs. The first was “Simply the Best” by Tina Turner; the second was “Marry Me” by Train. Daniel sat the guitar down, and surrounded by their loved ones, he proposed. Lexy said yes!
