We're Getting Married!

It was just like any other day, Krystal was dropping off Kara at the usual morning bus stop. After Kara had been picked up, another parent had asked Krystal to help translate a message to Daniel. That was the moment the first interaction had occurred.

On a random weekday, Krystal received a message from Daniel asking if she was going to any of the Niner games for the 2019 season (had her number because the drivers have a list of the parents contact info). After some back and forth text, Daniel asked if she and Kara would like to go to a Giants game. Which Krystal responded, "I don't have Kara that weekend". Daniel proceed with, "You and I can still go". And next thing you know, the first date was set. He picked Krystal up from the San Carlos Caltrain station, and off they were. They first stopped at Polo Grounds for a few rounds of drinks. Then made their way to the ball park. During the sixth inning, they decided to walk around the ball park. Once they made their stop by the cable car, Daniel made his move with a hug. After the game, they proceeded to make their way down the ramp to head to Daniel's car. It was at this moment when Daniel grabbed Krystal's hand. Interestingly, Krystal didn't realize what was happening. It wasn't until they were making their way to the car when it dawned on her that Daniel was holding her hand. That's when the pieces of the puzzle started to sink in for her. Once they made it to the car, they went to Barrel Proof Bar, where thy proceed to have a few more drinks and play pool. Which led to more hugging. After all the fun, Daniel drops her off back to her car. But before Krystal could exit the vehicle, she turned to Daniel and reached in for a goodnight kiss.

In November of 2019, Krystal and I did our first hike together at Mission Peak, which we call, our Veteran's Day hike. Forward to 2021, I mentioned to Krystal that I would like to do our "Veteran's Day Hike" to see how my stamina has changed in comparison to our first time hiking. She agreed that it would be a great idea. We decided to ask a few of our hiker friends to join us. Hike day had arrived and off we were. When we got to the summit pole, I got down on one knee and asked Krystal "Will you marry me and become Mrs. DeTrinidad?" Krystal laughing with joy replied "YES" and sealed it with a passionate kiss. They're excited to begin the next chapter of their lives as husband and wife.
