Many of you have asked. Many of you have assumed. But today, we finally get to share the beginning of a story that only God could have written. Our story began six years ago — February 16, 2020 — at Chick-fil-A, home of “the Lord’s chicken.” For months, we had worked under the same roof without ever crossing paths. Until one shift changed everything. Kianna noticed, who she thought was a “new” guy, who was amazing at his job. Daniel noticed who he thought was a “new” girl who ordered a grilled cheese from Chick-fil-A… Throughout the night there was little to no interactions, until God’s divine will struck and the two bumped into each other by the ice machine…. Kianna apologized but didn’t think much about it later on. What seemed ordinary was intentional. Proverbs 16:9 says, “The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps.” That night, God was establishing ours. Daniel went home determined to “do some research.” After finding out her name (thank you, Isaac), he found her Instagram and remembered: “You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take” and hit the “follow” button. Kianna received the notification, confused by the extremely outdated photos, and decided to investigate. She slid into his DMs asking “Is this Daniel from Chick-fil-A?” Although we didn’t officially start dating until March 2021, we got to know each other very well over that span of time. Daniel’s coworker (Gabe) would try to “convince” Daniel to shoot his shot, not knowing of the interactions that had previously occurred. Through seasons of growth, education, friendships, church, and personal refinement, we sought the Lord individually while slowly learning each other’s hearts. Ecclesiastes 4:12 reminds us, “A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.” From the beginning, we knew we didn’t want a relationship built on emotion alone — we wanted one anchored in Christ. Fast forward to September 2025. After five years filled with laughter, growth, prayer, long talks, and countless memories, Daniel knew it was time to ask the question that had been forming in his heart. After many nights of reflection and prayer, he was certain Kianna was the woman God had prepared for him — bone of his bone (Genesis 2:23), his answered prayer, his partner in purpose. So he got down on one knee — with perfect posture, of course — and asked: “Will you marry me?” In that moment, Kianna wasn’t just seeing a proposal. She was seeing five years of faithfulness. She had always prayed for a man she could depend on — a leader, a protector, a man who reflects Jesus in the way he loves. And kneeling before her was a living answer to those prayers. And the flood works began.. Psalm 37:4 says, “Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart.” We have seen that promise unfold in real time. What began with a bump by an ice machine has become a covenant before God. And now, the next chapter includes all of you. The best is still being written. 🤍
