This story started in the most boring place, work. After college and going straight into work, Daniel noticed Kaylynn right away—her intelligence, her kindness, and the way she carried herself. It didn’t take long for him to be completely captivated. But it took a year and a half (and a lot of courage) before he finally asked her out. During that time, Daniel found creative ways to spend a few extra minutes with Kaylynn. He even started timing his coffee breaks to match her tea breaks—though he wasn’t really a tea drinker before then! It became their little daily ritual, sharing a cup and a conversation. When he finally asked her out, Daniel chose Epicenter, an arcade. Why an arcade? A few months earlier, they had discovered their mutual love of games—and their equally strong competitive streak—through friendly battles on their phones. An arcade date felt perfectly them. After that first date, Daniel knew he wanted to marry Kaylynn (truthfully, he might have known even before then). Their relationship blossomed through countless adventures—walks in the park, beach days, quiet afternoons in libraries, and dinners at wonderful restaurants. Together, they grew in faith as well. Daniel often brought Kaylynn to Church, where their love deepened alongside their prayers. After a year and a half of dating, Daniel asked the question he’d been holding in his heart for so long—at sunset on Carmel Beach, one of their favorite places. And of course, Kaylynn said yes.
