One day you're forcing everyone you know to go to trivia, the next you're saying yes to forever! Daniel and Katy met in 2020 during the height of the pandemic on a dating app (Daniel can never remember which one). Little did they know, Katy and Daniel ran in some of the same circles at UCF but never met! So when Katy was telling her friend Abby about this new boy, Abby knew exactly who she was talking about and wondered why the two had never met. Daniel and Katy talked everyday for months, growing closer and closer before Katy finally told Daniel that they had to actually meet in person. So roughly six months after first matching they finally met in-person for a date walking around Winter Park. The two quickly started seeing each other multiple times a week, with Katy and Knight going to Orlando on the weekends and Daniel and Ellie going to Celebration (for trivia) during the weeks. Daniel was accepted into a PhD program and found out he would need to move to Charlotte. The two decided that they wanted to move in together before he had to leave, which affirmed their love for each other. Daniel and Katy would spend the next four years in a long distance relationship, with Katy traveling to Charlotte and Daniel traveling to Orlando whenever they could. During this time they traveled together to New York, Naples, Denver, Asheville, Charleston, Atlanta, and Edinburgh, where Daniel proposed! Since then, Daniel has moved back to Celebration and the two are back to living together with their dog, Knight. Katy and Daniel encourage each other to be their best selves, they challenge each other, support each other, and love each other unconditionally. They cannot wait to celebrate their love of each other and their love of all of you!
