It all started on the family farm in Walland, TN, where the wedding will take place! Daniel and Katie met in September 2018 after Katie had moved back to her childhood home from living in Chattanooga for six years. Daniel was living in the Higgenbotham house, a rental property owned by the McCroskey family, just a stone's throw from where Katie lived. An Alabama native, he met Katie through her cousin Rachel, who is the partner of Daniel's long-time friend Greg, and her father Tom. It is often joked that they were "set up" through family and that the connection made perfect sense, and that Katie's dad and uncle were his landlords. It was destined to happen! Daniel and Katie fell in love very quickly through a shared love of playing music together, enjoying nature, taking long walks and talking about life, and gardening. They have formed a band together, The Surface Dwellers, playing regularly in the local area. They also greatly enjoy the family property in Walland, TN, and feel very blessed to make a home where they met and fell in love, and where Katie also spent her childhood. They enjoy their garden together and taking long walks along the creek and in the fields. Their love only continues to grow stronger every day, and they look forward to celebrating it with the most important and cherished people in their lives!
