FAQs

Question

When should I arrive?

Answer

Please plan to arrive 15–30 minutes before the ceremony begins. We want to make sure everyone is seated before the processional starts!

Question

Where will the reception be?

Answer

In the fellowship hall, which is directly connected to the sanctuary.

Question

Will there be a meal?

Answer

No. There will be light charcuterie, cake, and refreshments at the reception but no sit-down meal.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Semi-formal; the wedding will be in a church, so wear modest, fancy attire, but also be sure to stay comfortable and warm. We'd love for you to wear soft colors and floral patterns to enhance our "fairytale/garden party" feel.

Question

Where should my family stay the night?

Answer

We don't have hotel rooms reserved. We wanted guests to be able to sleep in a hotel they're familiar with. There are lots of options in Columbia: Hyatts, Mariotts, Hiltons, Wyndhams...

Question

Will there be dancing/partying?

Answer

There will be live music, refreshments, and fellowship time, but no dance floor or alcohol. Come enjoy the band!

Question

Is there parking available?

Answer

There are two lots attached to the church. The S Saluda lot will be reserved for the wedding party and family ONLY. However, the lot on S Gregg Street is available for guest use, and parking along the street is also an option. You may have to walk a little ways!

Question

Can I bring a date/kids?

Answer

PLEASE ask before bringing a plus one. We need to know exactly how many guests are coming. However, kids of all ages are welcome in the service and at the reception!

Question

Will it be outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony and reception will be indoors, but with some outdoor seating and lawn games at the reception if weather permits.

Question

What about dietary restrictions?

Answer

We will have self-serve charcuterie with lots of healthy, vegan, dairy-free and gluten-free options. If you have a serious airborne allergy, please be sure to let us know.
