Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Please kindly refrain from inviting additional guests unless you were previously informed that they are included in the head count. As this is a small, intimate destination wedding, we are keeping our guest list very limited. Those who receive an invitation are the individuals included in our final head count. Thank you so much for understanding and respecting our wishes for our special day.

Can my kids come?

Answer

While we want to limit the amount of children, we do understand that some will need to attend. If you have been informed that your children are welcome to attend, they are included in the total guest count. We kindly ask that parents please supervise and attend to their children throughout all wedding events so that everyone can relax and fully enjoy this special celebration. Please reach out if you have any questions.

Do I have to stay in the Smokey Mountain Lodge cabin?

Answer

If you were advised you have a room in our lodge, but do not wish to stay with everyone, you are welcome to stay elsewhere. You are not required to stay in the lodge with everyone if you do not wish to. However, we ask that you notify us no later than June if you will be getting your own hotel/cabin as this will help us fill your room with another guest.

Will there be alcohol?

Answer

Yes, we will have some liquor and wine for our guest at the reception. However, if you have a specific beer/mixed drink you’d like, we ask you bring a case or the mixers and provide it to the bartender so they can distribute it to you at the reception party.

Will there be dinner after the wedding?

Answer

Yes, after the ceremony everyone will attend a cocktail hour. After the cocktail hour all guests will go to the first floor of the pavilion for the meal, toast and first dances.

Yes, we will have a DJ.

Is there food provided at every event?

Answer

We will have food provided for most events. There is also a local cafe located on the resort that anyone is always welcome to order from. They also do delivery to your cabin if you prefer that.

What if someone can’t attend?

Answer

We ask that all guests confirm their availability as soon as they can. We also request that all guest changes go through us prior to inviting anyone. If you previously advised that your kids had to come, but now you have found a sitter for them, please let us know as soon as you can as this will affect the head count. The importance of the headcount is so we ensure the caterers and our wedding planner know how many guests to prepare for.
