I first saw Johanna in the summer of 2018 as she was working in a downtown Memphis art store blocks from my apartment. She was painting an enormous canvas of the downtown landscape, one of her most prized masterpieces. But that day, I only saw one masterpiece... her! After building up courage, I asked her out and our first date was to a Memphis Tigers basketball game. And the rest is history!

It only appeared as a quick stroll down the beach at Smith’s Barcadere, just west of George Town in the Cayman Islands, before we were to eat dinner on the cliffside and enjoy the approaching sunset. But alas, a hidden photographer was at the ready and a ring was in hand to ask my best friend to allow me the honor to spend the rest of my life with her (and of course her poodle Bobbie too). It was the single greatest decision I have ever made - one I would make again a million lifetimes over. And she said YES!
