FAQs

The Wedding Website of Jessica Gross and Daniel Keeney
Here are some commonly asked questions about our weekend elopement. If you think of anything other than what's listed here, please reach out to Jess at 715-498-2400.
Question

Can I bring a friend as a plus one?

Answer

Unfortunately, no. This weekend is a small and intimate celebration for the closest people in our lives, and we have reached capacity for our venue. If your invite did not specifically say, “and guest” we will not be able to accommodate a plus one. We appreciate your understanding, and look forward to celebrating with you!

Question

Are we doing everything together as one big group?

Answer

No! Please feel free to plan your weekend as you wish! The only day we ask you set aside is the afternoon and evening of Friday, September 19th to eat, drink, and be marry-ed. As the weekend approaches, Dan and Jess will likely post a rough, post-wedding itinerary for Saturday and Sunday (hiking spots, ATVing, etc), and if any of it catches your eye, we'd be delighted if you join us! But please, do not feel obligated to partake in any day activities, group meals, etc., we want you to experience the area at your own leisure!

Question

When and how should we send payment for lodging?

Answer

To help cover the costs of lodging, we are kindly asking for all guests of the Airbnb to pay $500 per person. You can send a payment to Jess via Zelle or check. For Zelle - please use phone number 715-498-2400 to find Jess as a recipient. Please title payment as "Wedding lodging" with your full names. Checks can be written out to Jessica Gross, but please include "Wedding lodging" with your name in the memo space. Please have all forms of payment sent to Jess by May 1st, 2025.

Question

How will sleeping arrangements work?

Answer

The Great Northern Escape has 7 bedrooms, and 9 bathrooms; offering 8600 square feet of living space spanning three floors. It will comfortably sleep all of our guests, and there will be plenty of space for everyone to sprawl out and find their own area to lounge peacefully during the day. We are still working on final sleeping arrangements, but parents & family will have first priority to private bedroom suites. Remaining beds will likely consist of room sharing (there are queen beds, twin beds, bunks, etc); Couples will obviously stay together, and we will do our best to arrange rooms so that everyone will feel comfortable with who they are bunked with. We booked this Airbnb because it was the biggest one we could find in the area that allowed our friends and family to stay at a central location. We hope you're as excited as we are -- this is a really special weekend and will be the first time that our personal worlds collide with out of town family and friends!

Question

Do you suggest us renting a car for the extended weekend?

Answer

Yes, if you are flying into the area, we would highly advise a car rental or the use of a travel app like Turo to make traveling more accessible for you. If you plan on hanging out at the Airbnb all weekend, there is Uber available to get you to and from the airport, or downtown Whitefish so a rental car would not be needed. However, if you wish to explore the National Park, we suggest coordinating with friends or loved ones, and going in on a car rental together. Glacier NP is 40 minutes from the Airbnb, and will not be accessible through apps such as Uber or Lyft. If renting as a group, only one person in the vehicle will need the National Park pass, and the time entry pass to enter the park cohesively. Alternatively, Dan and Jess will be driving from Washington, and will have a personal mode of transportation. For those of you that do not want to rent a car, we are more than happy driving you to and from the park on Saturday or Sunday, but realistically, we would only be able to take a few of you :) Please reach out to us if this is something you'd like to coordinate!

Question

Will food and drinks be provided for the whole weekend?

Answer

Mostly, yes! We plan on stocking up on a variety of goodies for everyone to enjoy during their stay at the Airbnb throughout the weekend. Although this is still in the planning stage, we do intend on having breakfast options (bagels, muffins, granola bars, etc.), lunch options (sandwich supplies, chips, pasta salads, etc), and then a variety of snacks available throughout the weekend. We also intend on stocking up on alcohol, and a variety of drinks (water, soda, etc.) to keep everyone satisfied in moderation for pretty much the majority of your stay. If there is something we've missed, or your taste buds are craving something else during the weekend, feel free to stop by the local grocery store or liquor stores and bring your own! For dinners options, either Saturday or Sunday (weather permitting), we do plan on hosting a backyard grill out, but otherwise besides wedding night, you'll likely have to be self-sufficient and go hunt down that grizzly or a local restaurant for dinner.

Question

Is there a dress code for wedding day?

Answer

Yes - please dress in cocktail attire. Ladies: dresses, knee length to long dresses, dress pant suits, etc. Gentleman: dress slacks, shirt +/- tie, suit or sports coat. No denim please. Weather depending, most of our celebration will be outside, so wear comfortable shoes, and have a jacket in case the temperature drops at night.

Question

Will there be a cash bar during the wedding?

Answer

No -- During the wedding we will have a self-service bar, so raise a glass with whatever your heart desires.
