Its a Forever Thing!

Once upon a time Daniel and Jessica met. A very young Jess and Dan first met doing their silver Duke of Edinburgh award, it definitely wasn't a walk in the park or love at first sight, in fact they probably hardly noticed each other. Jess was too busy trying to work out how to escape the 3 days of walking up hills to pay any attention to Dan and Dan's only goal was probably to set a new world record for the fastest D of E expedition of all time. Suffice to say this wasn't the moment they fell in love, but it may have started their love (or lack of on Jess' side) for the outdoors and a somewhat easy walk!

During Jess' time at uni she visited a friend who was at university in Sheffield, and what do you know, Dan was also visiting a friend in Sheffield at the same time! All being from Grimsby we obviously had to meet up (I mean how could you not). So, a lot of drinks and chats later Grimsby took on Sheffield for a fun night out. Probably due to alcohol goggles Jess may have developed a little crush on Dan this night, but it still wasn't their time.

Finally in February fuelled by more alcohol Dan and Jess met up once again on a night out, in Cleethorpes this time. Let’s just say it was one crazy night, and Dan had an amazing first introduction to Jess' family, for those who don't know yes Dan did break the gate! After this introduction I think we were all surprised that Dan did come back again but thankfully he did. Dan visited Jess in Nottingham, and they had their first date, we could say the rest is history....

And this is where we start their happily ever after. On 25th July 2025, 3 years after they started dating Jess and Dan were on holiday in Genoa Italy (coincidentally their first holiday together was also in Italy). After a lovely day exploring the 5 villages of Cinque Tere Jess was in the shower getting ready for dinner, little did she know that Dan was practicing getting down on one knee on the balcony. Once Jess finished getting ready (which Dan thought took an extremely long time, probably because he was so nervous) they both went out onto the balcony for some pictures before dinner where Dan got down on one knee and asked the all-important question WILL YOU MARRY ME!!! A night full of happy tears and good food followed which will always be their perfect start to happily ever after.
