Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

The dress code is daytime cocktail attire, and our wedding theme is florals so we encourage you to incorporate that into your outfit in whatever way works for you! Adding a flower to the hair, wearing a floral print, whatever feels good to you personally. It will be a daytime wedding outdoors so keep that in mind. We would suggest wearing something warm weather appropriate and bringing layers for the evening just in case. We want everyone to be comfortable and don't want anyone to feel like they have to break the bank buying a new outfit. However, we request no jeans or other super casual clothing if possible.

Question

Should I stay near the venue or in Portland?

Answer

The venue is approximately 30-45 minutes outside of town dependent on traffic, so keep that in mind when making your travel plans. If you will have a car or plan to rent one and will be in town for a few days, you may want to stay in Portland so that it's easier to enjoy the city. If you will only be here for essentially the day of the wedding, we'd recommend finding accommodations near the venue so that you don't have to travel a long distance at the end of the day. Please plan to have a designated driver no matter what your travel plans are.

Question

Will I be able to catch a cab to or from the venue?

Answer

Yes, but we recommend that you make plans ahead of time. Catching a cab from Portland to the venue should be easy as there will be lots of cabs available. However, taking a cab from near the venue to or from the venue, or from the venue back to Portland may be more difficult. The venue is in a small town and there may not be as many cabs available at any given time. We have called a few cab companies and found two that will allow you to schedule a cab for your travel needs in advance. Both of these companies will assign you a driver when you make your reservation, so you will be guaranteed a ride for the time that you schedule one. This does mean that you will have to pick a time in advance to leave the party, so we recommend taking a look at the day of wedding schedule (which can be found on the "schedule" tab) and decide which parts of the day you would like to be present for. Here are the cab companies and their estimated rates for travel between the venue and Portland. Please keep in mind these are just estimates and the prices may vary somewhat based on where you are traveling to. Radio Cab (503) 227-1212 $85 Trusted local cab company Anytime Airporter PDX Shuttle (971) 406-5649 $120 This is an airport shuttle service that will also provide shuttle services for non-airport trips. This option is for people who are planning to travel in a larger group (up to six people per shuttle).

Question

How far in advance do I need to schedule my cab?

Answer

We'd recommend booking your cab at least a day in advance. It should also be possible to book a cab via one of the two recommended services on the day of the wedding. However, be mindful of the fact that it may take awhile for a cab to come and get you or that a cab might not be available in the moment if you choose to got his route.

Question

Is there parking at the venue?

Answer

Yes, there is plenty of parking at the venue which has its own parking lot.

Question

Can I leave my car there overnight if I decide to take a cab home?

Answer

Yes, you may leave your car overnight. They have a gate which will be locked once we leave the venue at 11pm, and you MUST pickup your car by 10:30am the next morning.
