What does potluck style mean?

Answer

We're hoping everyone who is able will bring a dish to share for the reception dinner. However, we understand that this might not be possible for those who are traveling from afar to come celebrate with us. There will be cutlery provided for all types of foods, as well as note cards to write on for you to share about your dish.

Why is there only one thing on the registry?

Answer

Instead of gifts, we would like people to bring a dish to share for the reception dinner. If people would like to contribute beyond that, you can donate to our house fund either through this website or in person on the day via cash, check, or Venmo.

What does "semi-formal or whatever makes you feel most beautiful" mean for the dress code?

Answer

We want everyone to feel their best on our wedding day, not just the bride and groom. Finding semi-formal attire that feels comfortable on your body can be hard, so if you would like to wear your fancy overalls or that dress you never got to wear for the Renaissance festival, we encourage you to do so! This will be a backyard wedding so if there is a question of what shoes to wear, bring a pair of comfy shoes to change into for dancing and shenanigans.

Will there be alcohol provided?

Answer

There will be some alcohol provided with two signature cocktails, but if you have a favorite drink or beer, we encourage you to bring it!
