We ask that our guests wear formal attire. We kindly ask guests to avoid bright or neon colors and instead opt for timeless, elegant tones and classic evening attire. Think chic, sophisticated, and romantic.

What time should I arrive to the ceremony?

We kindly ask guests to arrive at 3:15 to allow for time before the ceremony begins.

Can I bring a date or plus one?

Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate those formally invited. All guests and plus ones will be listed when you RSVP.

Will there be an open bar?

Will the wedding be inside or outside?

Answer

The ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception will be outside. We recommend that ladies have a light sweater or shawl to account for cooler weather in the evening.

Are cigars, cigarettes, or dramatic movie-scene smoking moments allowed?

As much as we love the aesthetic of a celebratory cigar moment, The Capen House is a 100% smoke-free venue — so please leave the cigars, cigarettes, and smoke clouds at home. ✨
