Travel Information ✈️ We’ve put together some travel details to help guide you in planning your trip to Salento for the wedding! Flight Options: There are direct flights from JFK to Pereira Airport (PEI - Aeropuerto Internacional Matecaña) on August 4th and August 6th with Avianca Airlines. Alternatively, you can book a flight with one layover, arriving at either Pereira (PEI) or Armenia Airport (AXM - Aeropuerto El Edén) — both airports are convenient for reaching Salento. Getting to Salento from the Airport: Once you arrive at PEI or AXM, you have two main options to get to Salento (travel time is approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour): Taxi: Official yellow taxis are available at the airport. The ride costs around 160,000 Colombian Pesos (COP), approximately $40 USD. Uber: Yes, Uber exists in Colombia… kind of. It technically operates in a grey area, but plenty of people use it without any issues. If you’re feeling adventurous (or just prefer the app), go for it — just know it’s technically illegal. Where to Go Upon Arrival: Head to Beit Chabad of Salento, located at Calle 7 #8. Once there, you’ll receive information about your lodging. If you’ve already arranged your own accommodations, you can head straight to your hotel from the airport.
